Kagome was established as Aichi Tomato Co., Ltd. in August 1949 due to the merger of five companies: Aichi Tomato Manufacturing, Aichi Canned Products, Shiga Canned Products, Aichi Trading and Aichi Marine Industries. The name was changed to Kagome Co., Ltd. in 1963. Please see the History of Kagome page for more details.

Kagome shares were listed on the second section of the Nagoya stock exchange in November 1976 and in 1978 was moved to the first section of this exchange and listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Shareholders of record at the end of December receive the dividend. Newly purchased Kagome shares must be purchased by no later than two business days before the last business day of December in order to receive the dividend.
Please contact your securities company for information about the latest business day in December when Kagome shares can be purchased and be eligible for the dividend.

There is no interim dividend.

Shareholders receive a Dividend Payment Statement when dividends are paid. This statement is a valid document in accordance with tax laws and regulations in Japan and can be used when submitting tax forms. If this statement is damaged or lost, please contact Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation for a replacement.

Only shareholders who have owned Kagome shares continuously for at least six months are eligible to receive this gift box. This six-month period ends on June 30 and begins on the December 31 of the previous year. During this period, shares must be registered continuously with the same shareholder number. To be registered at the end of December and June, shares must be purchased by no later than two business days before the last business day of the month. Please contact your securities company for more information about these two dates.
When a stock lending service or other service is used, a shareholder may be disqualified from receiving the gift due to a change in the shareholder number. For more information, please contact your securities company.

Shareholders receive a gift box once every year, normally in October.
All gift boxes are sent at the same time and are sent only to shareholders in Japan.
When delivery is not possible because a shareholder has moved or is away for a long time, gift boxes are resent about one month later by postal mail.
Shareholders who have moved should use a securities company or Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation to register the new address and complete a change of address procedure at the post office.

Shareholders receive a gift from Kagome when the continuous ownership of Kagome shares reaches 10 years.
This gift is distributed only once to mark 10 years of ownership.

Shareholders receive two glasses with wide lower sections and a narrow top in order to enjoy the fragrance of tomato juice. The glasses are decorated with the Kagome symbol that is the origin of the company name. The gift box also includes cans of tomato and vegetable juice in 10-year anniversary label that incorporates the Kagome symbol.

Shareholders are responsible for using the designated procedures for keeping their registration information up to date. Kagome is unable to alter personal information.

We may be unable to gift boxes or messages sent by postal mail if there is an error in the registered address. Shareholders living in an apartment building or other large building should remember to include the number of the apartment or other residence in the address. If the name at the entrance of the residence is different from the shareholder’s name, the shareholder should include “care of XXX” in the registered address.

Shareholders who change their address to a location in another country are required to designate a representative in Japan or a temporary address in Japan. The designation or this representative or address must be accompanied by the address change procedure. All materials sent by postal mail will be sent to the agent or the temporary address. Please contact your securities company or Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (for special accounts) about this procedure.

Kagome is able to use only the address registered by each shareholder. If you wish to change your address, please contact Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation to request a change in the address used for communications from Kagome. Once this procedure has been completed, the revised address will be used starting with the next communication.
